We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team at the Enviro Depot in Sheet Harbour.
Job Summary:
As a Depot Attendant, you will play an essential role in helping customers with recycling drop-offs and maintaining the overall operation of the depot. You’ll be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service while ensuring the depot operates smoothly and in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Position Details:
This is a permanent part-time position at the Enviro Depot in Sheet Harbour, with working hours from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. every second Saturday.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with sorting and dropping off recyclable materials.
- Ensure materials are processed and stored in the correct areas. Operate equipment to handle recycling, if applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring materials are sorted and stored according to depot guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Stay informed about local recycling regulations and policies.
- Address any issues or concerns from the public professionally and efficiently, escalating any challenges to management as needed.
- Track materials processed and assist with maintaining accurate depot records as required.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Strong customer service skills and comfort working with the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of recycling procedures is an asset, but training will be provided.
