The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, environmental, and transportation and courier services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking a Claims Administrator to join our team based out of our Bedford, NS office.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Claims Intake Administrator to support our insurance, finance, and legal teams in the intake and handling of insurance claims based out of Bedford, NS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving incident reports and documenting claims.
  • Communicating with operational personnel, customers, and members of the public.
  • Tracking claims and reporting regular status updates.
  • Working with insurance, finance, safety, and legal professionals to ensure the efficient handling of claims.
  • Any other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in construction, transportation or insurance industries is considered an asset.
